Dextra Group have invested in a new Lefort Wrap Around Baler for their subsidiary Dexreco Ltd.
The baler can crush steel with a force of 240 tonnes which means a whole pallet can be compacted down to a cube less that 600x600x600mm. These dimensions are important because this is the maximum size that the steel foundries will accept. Producing bales this size, means that no further processing is required and we therefore get a lot more value for the waste steel.
Believe it or not, the baler is actually remote controlled meaning that a single operator can both load the machine, with a special forklift with rotating forks, and control the baler.
