What does the revised ISO 9001 mean to Dextra Group plc.?

The revised ISO 9001 standard was published in September 2015. This revision is a very significant one as it affects both the structure and contents of the Quality Management Standard.   All companies wishing to upgrade to the revised standard are given a three-year transition period to do so.

Dextra Group is a fast developing business which values the significance of an effective quality management system, concentrating on meeting our customer requirements and ensuring that they are satisfied with our products and services.  We have therefore been preparing for the changes in the ISO 9001 standard and we will undergo transition in 2016.

We perceive the revised standard and transition process as an opportunity to take a new modern look at the quality management system and use it as a tool to open new business opportunities and offer even better service to our customers.

The revised standard will enable our company to adopt a more efficient, customer-focussed process approach than ever before due to the introduction of the requirement for more active involvement of top management in quality management.ISO-9001

It also requires companies to adopt a process approach which means that our company should integrate all processes and focus on final output. This integrated process approach can make cost savings and improve process efficiency.

The 2015 version stresses the importance of adopting the risk-base thinking while planning to deliver products and services. This proactive approach of setting objectives and identifying risks and opportunities will enable Dextra to give more confidence to our customers and stakeholders. Risk-based approach required by the revised ISO 9001 will also help us to create a proactive culture of improvement and assure the consistent quality while delivering products or services which once again improves customer and stakeholder confidence towards our company and its performance.
